Trump to consider more gun control legislation
United States President Donald Trump has accused the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) of spending too much time on the Russian probe and failing to act on reports that could have prevented last week’s Parkland School shooting that left at least 17 students dead in Florida.
Trump’s remarks followed criticism from survivors of the attack over his alleged laxity in enforcing stricter gun control laws in America.
The latest fatal school shooting in America was carried out by Nikolas Cruz at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School.
On Monday, Trump seemed to backpedal on his strong stance saying he would consider backing a bill that would require states and federal agencies to produce plans to improve the reporting of criminal offenses and other information to the national instant background check system.
