Robin Ngalande signs with Azerbaijani Zira FK

Malawian striker Robin Ngalande has signed a five-month deal with Baku based Azerbaijani football club, Zira FK. The striker who has already left the country to join the club said he’s happy to be playing again after being without a club for close to six months.

Zira FK are currently sitting in 8th position in the Azerbaijan Premier League. The deal could be extended by a year depending on performance and the player’s willingness to stay at the club.

“I am here to represent Malawi and my signing is good for the national team as I will be active at the top level,” said the former Atletico Madrid Reserves player. He has also previously played for Bidvest Wits, Ajax Cape Town, Platinum Stars and Baroka FC.
