A Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) investigation report into the alleged defilement, by a Pakistan national, of a 14-year-old-girl in Blantyre has found that the girl was indeed defiled and victimised by the judicial system.
Presenting the findings this afternoon in Lilongwe Commissioner Dr. Bertha Sefu said MHRC established that the Pakistan national, Muhamad Hanif, aged 56, defiled the girl on March 15 in Mudi residential area in Limbe after offering her a lift on her way to Bangwe.
According to MHRC, Hanif was aquitted after a police prosecutor at Limbe police station altered the charge-sheet and paraded, in court, a bogus victim.
