Karonga Dairy Farmers Association has asked government to assist them identify markets for their milk. Speaking during the associations annual general meeting on Friday, chairperson Green Lulilo Mwamondwe said they have problems to sell their product due to inadequate markets. Karonga district livestock officer Harvey Kumwenda advised the association to increase its membership before looking for markets. Small Scale Livestock and Livelihood Programme (SSLLP) has been supporting the dairy farmers in Karonga with cows through the pass-on programme.
