Jose Mourinho: Sanchez unlucky, not cursed!

Alexis Sanchez’ move to Man Utd is not cursed

Since his move from Arsenal to Manchester United, Alexis Sanchez has had a troubled start at his new club with less than par performances from the Chilean as United struggle to keep up with the top four clubs in the English Premier League.

His latest hamstring injury just compounds his misery since his move to Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho. The injury is set to keep him him out of action for at least six weeks.

His manager however believes the Chilean forward is not cursed but that his player has just had an unlucky six months since his move from London.

“I don’t like and don’t believe in the word ‘curse’, but I have to admit it was probably a very unlucky six months, and we expect the new year brings better things for him.

“(It’s been) a frustrating season. It’s a season where he is not playing a lot, where he had small injuries, where he now has a big injury.”

Rumours have been going around that Sanchez is looking for a January transfer as he is not getting enough game time competing with the likes of Rashford, Lukaku and Martial in United’s attack.

The move will have to wait as he recovers from his injury.
