A ten year old boy, Samson Pitala, drowned in a well in Mwanza district. Mwanza Police Station spokesperson Edwin Kaunda said the standard One boy at Mpandadzi Primary School jumped into the well. He said a post-mortem conducted at Mwanza District Hospital indicated that death was due to suffocation. Pitala came from Kasampha Village in Traditional Authority Nthache in the district.
