Police in Karonga have arrested Tasokwa Banda, 17, for allegedly breaking into a shop at Karonga Main Market and stealing assorted items valued at K704000. the suspect comes from Malungo Village in Paramount Chief Kyungu’s area. According to Karonga Police station spokesperson Enock Livason, Banda illegally ventured into Raheema Kalindile’s shop on Monday. “He was arrested on Tuesday at Karonga Market Square after investigations by the Police,” he said. Part of the loot has been recovered and Banda has been charged with the offense of breaking into a building and committing a felony.
