R Kelly charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse

Award winning American singer-songwriter R Kelly has reportedly been charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse in Chicago following a recent unearthing of a VHS tape that shows a man alleged to be R Kelly engaging in sexual acts with a 14 year old minor.

Kelly who has be in the spotlight for his predatory sexual behavior since the airing of the Surviving R. Kelly documentary was released was charged on Friday by the Cook County State Attorney.

R Kelly’s lawyer said he was not aware of any charges against his client but stated that R Kelly denied any wrong doing. The 52 year old singer has faced a lot of accusations of sexual misconduct and making child pornography but had been acquitted of charges brought against him in an earlier case.

His marriage to a 15 year Aaliyah which was later annulled and widely condemned has been the main deed which has stained his career due to the overwhelming evidence. Most of the other accusations against the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer have been generally hard to prove.

R Kelly has worked with many notable artists including Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Chance The Rapper, Rick Ross and Jay-Z just to name a few.
