Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM), a grouping of public relations and communication professionals from the public and private sector has been registered in line with the Trustees Incorporation Act of Malawi. A statement signed by its interim president Lewis Msasa says the formation of the society has been necessitated against the background of a concern of the dwindling standards of public relations and communications practice in the country.
PRSM aims to raise the profile of the profession by demonstrating the value of public relations and communications to corporations through lobbying and advocacy, and at the same time, be the recognized professional authority in public relations and communications issues in Malawi and across its borders.
