The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) last week released a statement announcing that it has not accredited some institutions of higher learning who failed to meet the council’s accreditation requirements.
The affected institutions are African Bible College, Blantyre International University, Columbia Commonwealth University, Exploits University and the government owned Malawi College of Accountancy.
The news was met with mixed feelings on social media with many students left distraught at the councils decision. Others took time to make fun of the situation with jokes and memes mocking both the council and the universities concerned.
Currently Malawi is already facing an education crisis with many of the public Universities being shutdown for various reasons.
