Mutharika warns racist Expats

President Peter Mutharika has come out strongly to condemn racist expatriatess working in the country warning that he will deport them personally for any violations on the dignity of Malawians.

“Do not call us slaves or monkeys, if that happens again, I will kick them out of this country in 24 hours,” Mutharika said.

“The Ministry of labour should give me those names of offenders and I will kick them out immediately!”, charged Mutharika during a rally in Bolero, Rumphi.

The President made the remarks following last weeks controversy surrounding British national, Mike Harper who called a domestic worker a slave in a Facebook post that ignited the anger of many Malawians on social media.

Harper has since apologised for his tasteless comments though he has not been deported from Malawi.
