News of Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking as Manager for Tottenham Spurs comes as no surprise on the back of a poor start to the season which has seen the Champions League finalists lie in 14th position of the English Premier League.
With just three wins in twelve games, Spurs have grossly under-performed this season under the Argentine coach who has been at the helm for five years. If rumours are to be believed, it is said Pochettino has had a falling out with Spurs’ Chairman, Daniel Levy.
Last season, Pochettino guided the London side to the Champions League final where they lost 2-0 to Liverpool but the team had an impressive run beating the likes of Ajax and Manchester City enroute to the final.
Coaches that have been linked with taking over from Pochettino include Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe, RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann, Massimiliano Allegri, and the bookmaker’s favorite, Jose Mourinho, who has been out of a job since his sacking from Manchester United in December 2018.
