CSO’s vow to keep Mutharika government in check

National Advocacy Platform (NAP) has vowed it will continue putting the Peter Mutharika administration under spotlight although government is working to dividing civil society organisations (CSO’s) and citizen groups. NAP made the sentiments in Lilongwe during the platforms annual general meeting where education activist Benedicto Kondowe was elected the new chairperson for the body for the next three years.

Kondowe emphasized in an interview afterwards that CSO’s have an enormous task to empower citizens to realize and track human rights and freedom; and also, enabling citizens hold duty-bearers accountable.
