Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti has left English Premier League outfit Everton FC and has returned to Spain where he takes over from Zinedine Zidane as the head coach for Spanish Giants, Real Madrid.
The 61 year old coach has been tasked to lead Los Blancos to European glory and given his pedigree as one of only three coaches to have won the UEFA Champions League three times, good times may yet return to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid.
Ancelotti who has signed a three year contract with Madrid takes over from Zidane his former assistant who led the team to a second place finish in the Spanish La Liga.
“I would like to thank the board of directors, the players, and the Evertonians for the tremendous support they have all given me during my time at the club,” Ancelotti said in a statement.
