The Zomba Magistrate’s Court has sentenced two men to three years imprisonment for being found in possession of medical drugs suspected to have been stolen. Balaka Police Station spokesperson Edith Kachotsa said Thokozani Joseph, 30, and Bernard Tamwa, 40, were arrested on December 1, according to the police.
“After the two pleaded guilty, police prosecutor Josephine Chigawa asked the court to give them a custodial sentence considering that the convicts have been in the drug business for a long time which means that a lot of drugs were stolen from public hospitals,” she said.
